Gallery 33 is a local Art Gallery located at 4 Balsam Street that is committed to displaying art, crafts and other gift items made entirely by local people from Thunder Bay and the surrounding area. The Gallery features variety of local names and one local art collective called the Lakehead Visual Arts which has been in existence for 63 years. Types of artwork on display include: watercolours, acrylics, oils, stained glass, printmaking, photography, alcohol inks, mixed media and much more. Some of the gift items include: jewelry, indigenous crafts, recycled bags/purses, coffee, tea, chocolate, soaps to name a few. We also run a variety of workshops for both Children/Youth and Adults on a semi-consistent schedule, as well as other events such as "Meet the Artist" and gift markets. We are located on the shop floor of 4 Balsam street where you can also find the Painted Turtle Art Shop and conveniently share the parking lot with local gem George's Market.
