14th Annual George Jeffrey Children's Centre Soapbox Races

The 14th Annual George Jeffrey Children's Foundation Soapbox Races are gearing up for June 2,3,4 (rain date) at Waverley Hill and Park. We are excited to get things rolling! The Soapbox Races are a fun filled weekend for the whole family, come and enjoy the races, food vendors, artisans and much more!

These races are unique; children have the opportunity to race soapbox cars down Waverley Hill. There are a few single seat soapbox cars available for use, as well as two-person soapbox cars that allow children with special needs or younger children the opportunity to take part racing down the hill, while being chauffeured by a parent or guardian. This gives them the chance to experience the soapbox racing sensation and support a worthwhile cause with the pledges they raise. Every dollar stays in this community to help support George Jeffrey Children's Centre in its efforts to provide programs and services that meet the physical, developmental, and social needs for children and their families dealing with very diverse special needs.

CALLING ALL VENDORS!

George Jeffrey Children’s Foundation is looking for food vendors, artists, crafters, buskers, and creators of any kind to help us fill Waverley Park at the 14th Annual George Jeffrey Children’s Centre Soapbox Races June 3rd (rain date June 4th).

Vendors will be required to be set up all day Saturday, due to road closure restrictions. In the case of rain we have set aside Sunday June 4th as an alternate date. It would be up to vendors whether or not they would want to return for the rain date.
