SnowDay on the Waterfront

Winter delights with a true northern flavour! SnowDay on the Waterfront presented by Ontario Power Generation is a free celebration of all things winter that takes place annually on Family Day, at Marina Park. Our theme for 2018 is Pop Culture!

SnowDay is centered around outstanding professional snow sculptures and features activities and entertainment for all ages.

Activities include,
* Feather investigations with Science North, Thunder Bay Ontario Canada
* Winter games with Children & Youth
* Snowshoeing with Chaltrek- Work & Play Outdoors
* Public snow carving with Willow Springs Creative Centre
* Face painting with Our Kids Count
* Kicksledding
* Skating Party hosted by LU Radio - CILU 102.7 FM
* Ice Fishing with the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters
* Sensory Mindfulness Scavenger Hunt and other fun activities with Roots & Branches Forest School
* And so much more!

Keep your eyes open for the Birds of the Bay community engagement art installations and the Waterfront Yarn Bomb organized by Camp Happy Heart Fibre Arts.

Meet and Greet with the Thunder Bay Quilters Guild and pottery demonstrations by the Waterfront Potters will be taking place in the Baggage Building Arts Centre. Kathy Toivonen and Kim Manduca will also be in the Baggage Building with their book on the history of Northwestern Ontario railways, Community Ties.

Support the RFDA Thunder Bay Regional Food Distribution Association and help select the best chili in Thunder Bay at the Chili Cook-Off Fundraiser.
