singer-songwriter
Elle Kay is a Thunder Bay-based singer-songwriter who writes and performs songs conveying personal experience and emotional intent. With piano and voice as her primary instruments, Elle draws from a number of genres including rhythm and blues, rockabilly and folk to create original material with grit and groove. This is her Canadiana.

Elle's anticipated debut EP 'FOOLS GOLD' was released August 2015 and can be purchased digitally through ellekaymusic.com. Recorded, mixed and mastered at Nix Records in Thunder Bay this record contains three fully produced songs, each with their own beat, their own style and own story, but all distinctly Elle Kay. She is enthused to continue promoting her work to her growing audience and says her music is best listened to while roadtripping across this gorgeous country of ours, windows down.

Born and raised in Toronto, and after completing her art studies at OCAD University, Elle moved to Thunder Bay to continue her education. She quickly became involved in the local music scene as a backup singer and studio musician playing piano and trumpet. She has been recognized as a performer with a number of acts throughout the city.

Since her debut as a solo act in 2013 in Thunder Bay, Elle has been actively performing at venues and clubs in Thunder Bay and Toronto. She's currently jamming and performing with her new two-piece indie rock band ENGINE HOUSE and they are anticipating their debut full-length record to be released summer 2017.
