Hula Hoop performer, fitness instructor, dancer, artist & crafter
Like a lot of children, Sheena loved playing with her hula hoop in her hometown of Shawville, Quebec, about an our outside of our nation's capital. But it was after joining an adult hula hoop class in Ottawa, her world changed and an occasional hobby became a passion.
When Sheena moved to Thunder Bay in 2011, she quickly became known as "Sheena Hoops" or the "Hula Hoop girl"; performing at various events through out the city, like Canada Day and Buskers festival and teaching classes at the Canada Games Complex. She also recently performed on the Auditorium stage during Eleanor Drury's Children's Theatre performance of Aladdin.
This path lead Sheena to become a certified fitness instructor as well as to go back to school into the Recreation Therapy program at Confederation College.
In her spare time, Sheena makes hula hoops to sell, paints canvases and rocks and crafts.
