The City of Thunder Bay, Cultural Development & Events is in the process of purchasing new professional stage infrastructure. This new infrastructure gives the City and community event organizers the ability to host higher quality events year-round. Two new stages will be acquired, a Stageline SL320 (large stage) and a SL75 (small stage). These stages are portable trailers that will be closed and stationed at the waterfront and other community locations between events.

The trailers are blank canvases and present a unique public art opportunity. For the Stage Trailer Wraps Project, the sides, back, and roof of the trailers will be fully wrapped with colourful visual art by local artists. This project presents an opportunity to incorporate local public art into event locations throughout the City.

The City of Thunder Bay is offering two separate public art opportunities for Artists to create artwork that will be displayed on the exterior of the SL75 (small) and the SL320 (large) outdoor stage trailers that will be used for festivals and events at Marina Park and other locations.
