Call to Artists: 50th Anniversary Art Bus 2020

Good News! We have ***extended the deadline*** to submit artist/designer proposals for the City's 'One City. Fifty Years' themed Art Bus! See the 'call to artists' for the new deadline!

The City of Thunder Bay is excited to announce an exciting public art opportunity for artists, artist teams and/or designers.

We are inviting you to submit proposals for artwork that will be displayed on the exterior of a City of Thunder Bay Transit Bus in 2020.  The theme for this project is One City. Fifty Years. The intent is to help celebrate and commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of the amalgamation of Fort William and Port Arthur. The objective of The 50th Anniversary theme is to showcase the history of Thunder Bay through people, success stories, culture, heritage and diversity.

Artists must live/work/attend school in the City of Thunder Bay or be able to demonstrate that Thunder Bay has played a direct role in their success, or artists who have lived in Thunder Bay in the past are eligible to apply.
